The residents of Baltic countries are more pessimistic about the duration of the crisis than people from other countries, ERR News reports.
20 pct of Estonian and 33 pct of Latvian families think that the crisis will last longer than 3 years.
13 pct of USA and 11 pct of German families shared the opinion. More than 20 pct of German and American people thought the crisis will be over in less than a year.
According to the Estonian Institute of Economic Research the people are insecure. They’re scared of worsened outlooks of the Estonian economy and also losing their jobs.
In the February last year less than 10 pct of Estonians thought the
unemployment will grow notably in a year, but the percentage was more than 50
this year. 36 pct of respondents thought that unemployment increases little bit
and 3.8 pct of people thought the unemployment decreases.
